@Gaton: I'm quite sure, the bug which you are describing is a different bug, because my usb system is completely off, if the mouse and keyboard is frozen. It is not possible to move the mouse slowley or so on. The little LED which should blink if something new is connected to usb is also not blinking anymore. Doesn't matter what I will plug in.
@Christopher: I updated my BIOS ( GF8100VM-M3 (V1.0) ). 080015 11/12/2009 But still have the same problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1214319 Title: 046d:c52b USB Mouse and keyboard freezes randomly but often Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Using UBS mouse and/or keyboard let my Ubuntu freezing very often. Not everytime it occures, but quite often. Then only a reboot is possible. Also, when Ubuntu freezes, only the usb is affected. So actually ubuntu is still working, but the usb system is off. There is also not a single event about that in the kernel log.
