My setup is a 2TB hard drive sitting in a Vantec NexStar dual bay dock, connected over USB 3.0 to the ExpressCard. I start up my laptop and power on the bay, and the disk is recognized. I can browse around, transfer files, etc. Things are normal. After some time, the drive will unmount. Power-cycling the bay does not help. Only restarting my computer will help, but the drive is not guaranteed to stay mounted for any usable length of time. I'm not sure what commands to run, but I'll run whatever needed to get more info.
