Sergio Callegari, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? After a sleep (to ram) -> resume cycle about 50% of the time the touchpad does not behave in the right way. It works, but I get no acceleration (moving the mouse cursor through the screen requires passing the hand from side to side on the touchpad a few times), no smart scrolling (moving the finger up and down on the touchpad sides should scroll up and down), no smart tapping. In other words, all the 'smart' touchpad features are gone. WORKAROUND: modprobe -r psmouse ; modprobe psmouse as root restores the correct mouse behavior. So I suspect that the psmouse module may have some issues with suspend/resume.
