It works fine with 12.04.01, i.e. the X11 radeon driver detects the chip. After ugrading to 12.10, the radeon driver seems to be tried, but fails to find the X1350. [ 294.253] (II) UnloadModule: "radeon" The fallback to vesa isn't accpeptable, as this doesn't support the 1440x900 resolution of the laptop.
