With a laptop it works fine through the PCMCIA card, but the USB connection does not work. Through USB it uses a ScanLogic Corp. SL11R-IDE IDE Bridge which is likely the issue, but I've heard that it works fine with CD drives and other removable storage as opposed to multi-partition hard disks. The USB connection works through a Windows VM (Vista and 7) and my Thinkpad is even able to boot from it.
