Public bug reported:

On a laptop set to "suspend on lid close", when the lid is closed within
seconds of initiating "shutdown", the shutdown process is interrupted and
"suspended". On later re-opening the laptop, the system resumes and then
continues the previously initiated shutdown process.
While this is at some level "logical", it is undesirable and likely confusing
to an ordinary user.

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
