Title: HP650 - 12.04LTS 64 - driver Ralink 3290 - kernel panic Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: On my HP650 with Windows8, I installed 12.04 in UEFI mode to get a dual boot after trying with 13.04 and obtaining black screen after boot, not solved by BootRepair. I also upgraded to 12.10 but had problems after boot, not solved by BootRepair again. So I decided to keep the LTS. Wireless card was not detected by NetworkManager, so I installed the vendor driver. Now NetworkManager applet looks the way it should, but if I disconnect the cable and try to use the wireless the system is blocked. If I reboot without cable and try to open the web browser I get a kernel panic message.
