Bug description:
Hi
I have just installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on my Medion Akoya P6613
It has an Intel i3 390m and a NVIDIA geforce GT 540m
When I change the brightness with the FN keys the brightness window pops up
and also changes but the actual brightness of the display does not change. How
can I fix this problem?
What I have already done is checking for updates and following the
instructions in this post: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/211457
but it didn't help
could it be possible that it is a problem with the graphics card and if so,
how can i possibly fix it?

after some help by community members i installed bumblebee and also changed
the settings, but it did not help.
