Thanks for the reply and I think I have them working now. I set up a postgresql backend db for the databases and in doing so I am now using the same pools for both servers instead of splitting the pool between them. I did this because each server will register it lease within the database so and each server checks the database to verify that the ip is available before it offers it? At lease that is my understanding.
