--- Comment #2 from Tammo Tjarks <[email protected]> --- Hello Marc, sorry for waiting this long with answering your mail. To be honesty, the reason I wrote the Bug report was, that I was really angry. I hat always the problem, that Kmail got horrible slow and I got only the info: "Please wait while updating the Folder". Anyway, the methode to solve the problem was, to remove the akonadi database and to rebuild it. In the week before I wrote my bug report I have done this already more than once and after a short period it got slow again. Maybe I should remove more E-Mails but at the other hand. If I have only a few E-Mails I do not need a database anyway. However, after another KMail update it got slow again and after removing the database again, that the emails vanished. Luckily enought I did not remove the E-Mails directly after download (use POP3). But I was in no mood anymore to use KMail any longer. I had the problem already since 4.7. So I gave up on this and switched to Thunderbird. So I can not really give an update on this. Maybe I will try it in the future again.
