Bug ID: 329819
Summary: Special folder and functionality for archiving of
messages
Classification: Unclassified
Product: kmail2
Version: 4.11.3
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: folders
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
There is common scenario to read new mails:
1. Open Inbox folder
2. Read some message
3. If message is not important then delete it else archive it into special
folder called "Archive"
Currently in Kmail you have to manually move message in such folder by 2 step
action: press "m" key to launch "Move to ..." dialog and select target folder
It will be useful to make such action in 1 step pressing special key for
archiving current message. Also it is important to give user opportunity to
specify Archive folder in application settings.
Additional information:
Same functionality can be found in Thunderbird and other email clients, e.g.
GMail
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Message_Archive
Reproducible: Always
