When I delete messages (move to Trash) I supposedly know what they are about
and wish not to read them (and even to get rid of them). So it would make sense
to mark these messages as read, so the Trash folder does not have lots of
unread emails.
I understand that this behavior is not desired by all users, so I would suggest
to make this behavior optional.
