--- Comment #12 from [email protected] --- I could resolve the problem for my setup by replacing the IMAP server. I was working with uw-imapd before, but this server can not handle multiple simultaneous connections. The kmail log files showed, that kmail and/or akonadi open two IMAP connections. Because of the uw-imapd limitation, the second one was read-only. This was the reason why kmail was not able to delete the messages I moved to trash. After replacing uw-imapd with dovecot-imap, everything works perfect.
