The file ~/.kde/share/apps/knode/nntp.1/info has a line identity=372618578, however I do not know where the identity is saved. I now used kmail to change the identity language form English Antigua & B (whyever this was set) to English US, but Knode still uses German. However Knode saw the renaming of the identity, thus it did notice that it was changed.
