When doing massive deletions of messages (hundreds and hundreds), kmail
completely blocks any other action on the IMAP account (fetching of new emails
etc ...) for the time required to perform the deletions. There are two
problems:
- you do not receive new emails while deletions are being processed
- kmail does not warn about the deletions being processed, only the initial
request to delete messages
Please try to make deletions a background task and accept fetching new emails
anyway.
