--- Comment #23 from András Manţia <amantia kde org> 2012-02-12 14:07:41 --- Volker (main Akonadi server developer) says that if the database was created priort to 4.7.4/4.8.0 the bug will persist, as there is no mechanism yet to do an automated cleanup of the problematic items (most probably those Item "X" has RID and is dirty items). A possible way to solve this would be: - recreate the database (see http://userbase.kde.org/KMail/FAQs_Hints_and_Tips#Clean_start_after_a_failed_migration). A radical way, but will get the cleanest setup. - add a new maildir resource in KDE 4.8.0 and after that remove the old one. You still need to do the same fixes for filters, favourite folders as in the first case. Removing the old one might take some time until the db is cleaned up. An akonadictl vaacuum is recommended after the removal is finished. I'd like to know if after doing the above the problem persist (the cache keeps growing for maildir) or not. Eg. for I have 76542 items that use only 2MB, or in other words the file cache is almost empty for the maildir mails. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Kdepim-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
