I disabled Akonadi Server, deleted the following files: ~/.local/share/akonadi/* ~/.kde/share/config/akonadi* ~/.config/akonadi/* Then I restarted the server and allowed it to create its default set of files. Next I opened KMail and recreated my Gmail settings.
