About your questions on Pegasus: You can get the Pegasus Mail Client and the Mercury Mail Server from http://www.pmail.com/ if you want to generate test data, but unfortunately both will only run on MS Windows. You can try it on wine and at least Pegasus will run, but the last time I tried that myself, it totally lacked network connectivity.
