Summary: Kleopatra 2.1.1: Problems with importing and storing
                    certificates
           Product: kleopatra
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Unlisted Binaries
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]

Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.1)
OS: Linux

Kleopatra cannot import any personal X.509 certificates, so KMail can't handle
encrypted messages.

There are also other quite serious flaws:

1) PEM CRL support would be nice...

2) No obvious default list of certificate authorities. When a CA certificate is
imported, the UI fails to obey the Trusted Root menu item and doesn't provide
any possibility to mark the authority as (un)trustworthy for certain purposes
(web sites, SW package signatures and the like).

3) Nearly the same holds for personal certificates.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Try to import a standard encrypted PKCS12 package file with encrypted private
key.

Actual Results:
Error message says that decryption failed.

Expected Results:
Well, it should work. At least it used to work 5 years ago with KDE 3.x, KMail
was then able to encrypt and decrypt messages.

As for the per-certificate settings, Thunderbird and Firefox can do it, so it
would be nice if the certificate management worked just like that in KDE.

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 3.0.4-AP
Compiler: gcc
