Outlook in Office 2007 has an "Outlook Anywhere" feature, that uses the Exchange 2007 OWA web services API. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb408417%28EXCHG.80%29.aspx (Most likely, davmail uses this API, however it would be much better to have native support in kde-pim) AFAIK, this is the way Apple provides Exchange 2007 support in Mac OS 10.6? and the iPhone.
