Yes, I see peaks of 99% usage, but it no longer stays there. I'm completely at a loss to explain what's happening. I did a Fedora update just before things straightened out, but there were no packages obviously connected with kdepim, akonadi, nepomuk or mysql. The only possibility I can think of is that some service needed restarting and I'd overlooked it.
