Summary: often pc stalls completely when email is to be sent in
PIM kontact, with 0% completion of email sending..
shut-down and restart is only way. after restart mail
is not sent. out.

PC stalls (crashes) often (30% of attempts to send an email) after the send
button for email has been clicked in Kontact . No error message is sent, the pc
does not react anymore. Shut off and restart is the only way to get back to
work. The email in question has not been sent after restart.
