Bug ID: 506981 Summary: Kmail does not display attachments text correctly when using dark theme Classification: Applications Product: kmail2 Version First 6.3.3 Reported In: Platform: Debian testing OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: UI Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: tnem...@free.fr Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 183195 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=183195&action=edit dark theme with unreadable attachment text and useless smiley SUMMARY When receiving mails (non-html) with human readable attachment (txt, patches, ...) the attachments are displayed at the end of the message. However when using a dark theme, they are displayed with black font over dark background. It makes them unreadable. Moreover the attachments contents are interpreted as if they were the contents of the message text and smileys are inserted where they shouldn't leading to, again, unreadable attachment text. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Switch to a dark theme 2. Receive a non-html mail with a txt or patch attachment that contains ":)" for example 3. Look at the attachment in the mail-read window. OBSERVED RESULT The attachment is displayed with black text over dark background and text is interpreted to insert smileys. EXPECTED RESULT The attachment should be either white text over dark background or (prefered) black text over light-gray background and no contents interpretation to transform text into smileys.
