--- Comment #5 from <m wege web de> 2009-04-09 21:12:44 --- Quoting parts of a mail I send to the KDE usability mailing list: Many mailinglists contain a (hidden) reply-to in there header so that if one replies, the answer is directed to the mailinglist instead of the sender. This (sometimes questionable choice) is made in order to ensure discusion on the list. But not always people are aware what they are actually doing. Sometimes a mail missed the filter, so one thought it was a personal mail and did not see that it was a mailinglist mail. Sometimes people are not aware of the reply too because they do not often post to the list. Or sometimes people decide to make the mail personal while they are writting and forget about the fact that it is going to the list. I am using mailinglists for many years now, but I have to admit this is happening to me too. I think it is a human thing. Therefor the request in the above wish-report is too include a (of course configurable) option which asks the user if he wants to send the mail to the reply-to (mailinglist) or to the original sender. There would be two points where this could be implemented: - When the user presses or clicks to reply. - When the user clicks on send. The second one would be better from my opinion, but may be more dificult to implement, since the origin of the mail would needed to be stored until it is send, even if it is saved as a draft or restored by session management. So I would also be happy with the first one. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Kdepim-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
