Thanks for the reply. I just finished reinstalling KMail, via kdepim, and
opened it to find your message. The send button is back.
I had been trying to fix the recent problem with xulrunner, which has a
dependency on libhunspell.so.1, which I can't install because there is a more
recent version that many things depend on. Maybe in my thrashing about, I
removed something KMail depends on, though there was no complaint. Mysterious.
