With kmail 1.9.9 and inline view of attachements set to "intelligent", messages
with jpg (for ex. 3 pictures with total 2 MB) causes an overload on the
harddisk and a very slow system, only reacting after some minutes on
Alt+Ctrl.+F1 to kill kontact/kmail.
