To whom it may concern:

I am hereby requesting a sponsor for my tool Maki: Incubation Request <https://invent.kde.org/fluxmusic/Maki/-/work_items/1>

Maki is a quick file previewer akin to GNOME's Sushi or MacOS' Quick Look.

It currently supports images, video files, audio files, text files and pdf files based on their mime type. Any unsupported files show the default Dolphin icon.

After the preview, the default application for that file type can be opened from within Maki, causing it to close.

As mentioned in KDE Discuss <https://discuss.kde.org/t/looking-for-feedback-maki-a-new-kde-inspector/46613/3>, Maki will eventually include a daemon that autostarts like KRunner and then be able to be called via a DBus call.

Currently, I am working on this project alone, but I am welcoming any possible collaborators to achieve this effort.

Sincerely,

Alex Huber
