Yep, I simply had to shout it out loud and clear. :) Certainly there are broken things every now and then, but luckily there are people dealing with it, investing time and effort to fix things by patches and if they can’t be sorted out sending bug reports and alike. I don’t know if the KDE developers know about the patches being used for the various KDE ports at MacPorts… Perhaps these would also be a good starting point for improving KDE step by step by communicating these patches upstream if that hadn’t happened up to now, so that they can be introduced in your code after review.
