I've recently tried out Project Neon in a KVM. What is missing in my opinion is some kind of documentation. The only site I found providing useful information was http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started/Using_Project_Neon_to_contribute_to_KDE I ran into some problems with starting KDM, don't know why. Could start KDM but wasn't able to display it. I have to admit that I didn't really go deep into it, though.
