The changes you're proposing sound interesting but I suppose nobody is replying because it would be really interesting to see some code in action first, or at least a mockup so we know how exactly would this be an improvement over our current situation (for example, our current file management operations *can* be paused and resumed). Please understand that due to the sensitive nature of copy/move/delete operations we are cautious with accepting changes unless they are very strongly justified.
