The machine also developed CPU instabilities under load (from compiling so many Gentoo packages most likely) and a hinge broke out of the display frame. In other words, it is e-waste now. While I do have a virtual machine with Gentoo, it has no KDE or auto-mount set up and I've been using Windows 10 for the last years, so am wholly out of the loop (no pun intended).
