That made me curious, and as a test I removed the "X11 windowing system" permission of the visualboyadvance-m flatpak using flatseal and I tested it again, which to my understanding means visualboyadvance-m can now no longer use XWayland or X11 on my system and can only use native Wayland instead. After doing that, it still suffers from the same issue. I'm not sure if that means anything or not.
