            Bug ID: 496194
Summary: Moon rendered with wrong illumination
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kstars
           Version: 3.7.3
          Platform: Ubuntu
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: mutla...@ikarustech.com
          Reporter: aa...@aarmor.net
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
The moon appears to be rendered with the incorrect illumination. Over the past
few days I have observed that kstars appears to render too much of the surface
being illuminated. For instance, when the moon was 80% illuminated (Nov 11,
2024 ~23:00 UTC), kstars visually rendered ~90% of the surface illuminated.
Features that should not be visible were shown as illuminated.

Viewing the moon with Xplanet appeared to show the proper illumination profile.
