My colleagues say this is likely https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-123799.
Still, if it is, we should figure out why failing to unlock triggers software
rendering (and hence the bug) for you.
To confirm, everything is fine until you fail to unlock, and then it happens,
right?
