Bug ID: 495813 Summary: Intel QuickSync Hardware encoder not found. Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: git-master Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: critical Priority: NOR Component: Rendering & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: jsalgu...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 175534 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=175534&action=edit A picture of the Configuration Wizard not detecting hardware acceleration and a handbrake log from a just finished QSV h265 video conversion . SUMMARY Does not find QSV acceleration in my Dell Latitude 5540 laptop. Specs are i5 1335U , 12gb ram, 512gb M.2 , iGPU Intel Iris Xe 80EU .. Using latest Intel Drivers. Tested the presence and functionality of intel QSV with Davinci Resolve and Handbrake and QSV encode is available and working. Kdenlive does not detect the encoder using the setup Wizard, and does not work when i try to render using it, it skips and uses only CPU. Was using git-master build, but tested 24.8.1 and 24.05.1 as well and the issue persists . No Hardware Acceleration Found Also rolled back intel drivers, and nothing. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Launching Kdenlive in a similar hardware that uses Intel Iris Xe as iGPU 2. Launch the Configuration Wizard. 3. Check for the presence of QSV acceleration or any type of compatible Hardware Acceleration 4. Check in project Settings or Render Setttings for the presence of QSV or any type of compatible Hardware Acceleration. OBSERVED RESULT No Hardware Acceleration found. EXPECTED RESULT That the software detects Hardware Acceleration, and can be used for rendering and timeline preview or proxy videos .. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 11 23H2 Kdenlive Versions Tested with the same behavior: 24.08.1 24.08.2 24.05.1 git-master -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
