            Bug ID: 495785
Summary: Accents on latest letter not appearing on suggested
                    (Italian) words in Autocompletion feature
    Classification: Applications
           Product: lokalize
           Version: 24.08.2
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: editor
          Assignee: sdepi...@gmail.com
          Reporter: valterm...@gmail.com
                CC: aa...@kde.org, sha...@ukr.net
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When writing in Lokalize editor during a translation session, the suggested
Italian words are truncated on latest accented letter (à, è, ì, ò, ù, etc.)
when you write on-the-fly and the Autocompletion feature is triggered.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a translation project in Lokalize (Target Language: Italian, which has
many words with final accented letter)
2. Start translating

OBSERVED RESULT
When you write a word with final accented letter, the (correct) suggested word
doesn't show it.
Examples: qualità (real word) > qualit (suggested word); perciò (real word) >
perci (suggested word); alcunché (real word) > alcunch (suggested word)

EXPECTED RESULT
The word should be correct, as previous behaviour, for example in Plasma 5

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Fedora Linux 40
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.7.0
Qt Version: 6.7.2
Kernel Version: 6.11.5-200.fc40.x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Graphics Processor: NVE7

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
When adding the word to the translation with the autocompletion feature, it is
added without the final accented character, so the spellchecker warns the
misspelling.
Then, you can correct the word with the spellchecker but, of course, this
should not be the way to follow.
