Bug ID: 495739 Summary: First desktop is randomly black on boot Classification: Plasma Product: kwin Version: unspecified Platform: Arch Linux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: core Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: buttbad...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY KDE boots with the first screen of the first desktop in pitch black without rendering the wallpaper or the widgets. Right click is not responsive either. Though, the eventual bars and their contents are rendering and working. The problem occurs randomly and the only temporary fix is to logout and login again. Most of the time it works, but it might require a second logout/login at rare times. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Boot on KDE (with automatic login) OBSERVED RESULT The first desktop of the first screen might be pitch black with only the bars rendering as well as their content. Wallpaper and widgets aren't appearing and right-click doesn't work. EXPECTED RESULT The first desktop of the main screen should work the same way at every boot.
