If you have the chance, could you please record a video of what you are
experiencing?
The gesture itself is actually still supposed to be the same, however some
thresholds and visuals were changed in
https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-mobile/-/merge_requests/574#note_1052388.
You have to swipe up and hold a bit for the task switcher to show up. There is
a vibration to indicate when it passes, but I'm guessing some visual indication
would also be needed for devices without it
