            Bug ID: 495246
Summary: When changing screen brightness, the desktop wallpaper
shines through shortly in random regions
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kwin
           Version: 6.2.1
          Platform: openSUSE
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: wayland-generic
          Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: pos...@posteo.eu
  Target Milestone: ---

Picture showing the issue

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the Brightness and Color applet
2. Move the slider for the screen brightness back and forth

OBSERVED RESULT

While adjusting the brightness, screen flickers and at random regions, parts of
the desktop wallpaper shine through for fraction of a second.

It's not record-able with pipewire, so I've recorded it with my phone and took
a screenshot from the video.

It also seems the actual monitor backlight isn't changed as the brightness
setting of the monitor doesn't change, but instead a purely visual darkening
overlay effect is in charge.
