KDE used to have great font rendering, but ever since Plasma 6 was released there have been several regressions that tainted that reputation. I'm attaching a screenshot showing what Red Hat Mono (https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Red+Hat+Mono) 11pt looks like in a couple of QT apps and on LO Writer, for comparison.
