Run the Updater or do-release-upgrade -d from the command line 2. Run the update as usual 3. OBSERVED RESULT Two results, the following warning: Checking for installed snaps Calculating snap size requirements Updating repository information No valid mirror found While scanning your repository information no mirror entry for the upgrade was found. This can happen if you run an internal mirror or if the mirror information is out of date. Do you want to rewrite your 'sources.list' file anyway? If you choose 'Yes' here it will update all 'jammy' to 'noble' entries. If you select 'No' the upgrade will cancel. I hit Y, then I receive this notice Generate default sources? After scanning your 'sources.list' no valid entry for 'jammy' was found. Should default entries for 'noble' be added? If you select 'No', the upgrade will cancel. I select yes Then I get this: Checking package manager Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... Done Reading state information... Done Calculating the changes Calculating the changes Could not calculate the upgrade An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade. This was likely caused by: * Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu Please use the tool 'ppa-purge' from the ppa-purge package to remove software from a Launchpad PPA and try the upgrade again. If none of this applies, then please report this bug using the command 'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core' in a terminal. If you want to investigate this yourself the log files in '/var/log/dist-upgrade' will contain details about the upgrade. Specifically, look at 'main.log' and 'apt.log'. Restoring original system state EXPECTED RESULT Upgrade should proceed SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: neon based on 22.04 KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.116.0 Qt Version: 5.15.14 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Unable to determine which PPAs to purge or packages to remove.
