I had the same problem with task manager and system tray and after upgrading to
KDE Plasma 6.2.x. Entering edit mode only helped temporarily.
Today I noticed that the plasma renderer was set to software.  After changing
it to Open GL the icons re-appeared again. I tried using the Vulkan renderer as
well, but it went into a crash and restart loop
