            Bug ID: 495124
Summary: Search field sometimes does not receive keystrokes
                    until clicked
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 6.2.1
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Global Menu
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: llvm.clang...@passfwd.com
                CC: k...@privat.broulik.de, mvourla...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY
Using the search feature requires first clicking on search, then clicking on
the text box. Removing this second step would bring it more in line with other
parts of Plasma. However, after clicking on the text box once, the search field
will work as normal without the second click, for any app, until you log out.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Dolphin
2. Click Search in the global menu
3. Start typing
4. If it immediately received keystrokes, either log out and back in, or remove
and re-add the global menu applet. Then go back to step 1.

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens until you click on the text box.

EXPECTED RESULT
Searching starts by typing, without any further clicks.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
