+1. I use the F2 shortcut to rename files, but quite often accidentally trigger
edit mode and then always needing to hit ESC or click 'Exit'. I'd love to see
an option to disable it. Space bar also triggers it.
I believe this feature is more useful for touch screens and Plasma Mobile, it
was recently mentioned here:
