Can you run: `iceauth list` at a time when it's working and not working.
Can you also check if the path it lists exists on disk:
i.e if you see:
ICE "" local/archlinux:@/tmp/.ICE-unix/1241 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1
b53dad8d49d42cc7d3f0025d22f0215c
that there's a socket at /tmp/.ICE-unix/1241
