I have selected anywhere. Not sure if this is a feature or a bug, but it is
extremely annoying because it forces me to clear the input field every time I
want to perform an action (use the calculator, open an app, ...).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select text in any app
2. Open KRunner
OBSERVED RESULT
The input field contains the selected text

The input field is empty
