If you need a workaround until the devs find the real bug, I'm using this
script:
#!/bin/sh
export KWIN_COMPOSE=Q
Add it to the autostart as a pre-startup script. It will use software rendering
for kwin instead of opengl. You will lose the effects and the night light but
at least the desktop is usable with that.
