I too would like this feature to be re-implemented and I don't understand why
the PR is not merged in its current form and simply improved upon down the
line. I don't understand why David Edmundson simply rejected it and nobody is
doing anything about it. Even if it's "too niche", it is a valid usecase, and a
feature that existed before that was taken for no good reason.
Currently, one of the reasons I want this feature is to fix the notification
badge of Vesktop that is broken on KDE Plasma 6 using the method described
here: https://github.com/Vencord/Vesktop/issues/298#issuecomment-2132234058
