Bug ID: 494513 Summary: Text inside pie chart is clipped on smaller panels Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 6.2.0 Platform: Arch Linux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: System Monitor Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: mira.j...@gmail.com CC: ahiems...@heimr.nl, notm...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 174675 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=174675&action=edit Widget on 42px panel height (Plasma 6.2) *** If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports Please remove this comment after reading and before submitting - thanks! *** SUMMARY See attached pictures - on 42px height text inside a pie chart is highlighted as mentioned in resolution of bug 488863 (although not sure if the effect isn't overdone). On 44 - 48px text is clipped. I think that the rounding which is done on smaller sizes is a neat solution and I would prefer it over the chart overflowing (so try first to fit the whole text, if not, round the numbers, and if it still does not fit, make text smaller/overflow it over the pie graph itself). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set panel height to 44 - 48px. 2. Add "Total CPU Usage" widget OBSERVED RESULT The text inside the pie chart is clipped at the end (missing decimal numbers/units). EXPECTED RESULT Numbers in the graph will be rounded, or the text will be made smaller to fit the area.
