HTOP On Idle System w/ 4x CPU, Wayland Session

I too am seeing this issue. I'm running KDE Neon in a QEMU VM and after the
framework upgrade from 6.1.5 -> 6.2, the system became unusable if using
Wayland as kwin_wayland pegs all 4x of my CPUs at 100% constantly.

System Info (from X11 session, System Settings won't even display a window
under Wayland):
Operating System: KDE neon 6.2
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.6.0
Qt Version: 6.7.2
Kernel Version: 6.8.0-40-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 4 × 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-12900HK
Memory: 7.6 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: llvmpipe
Manufacturer: QEMU
Product Name: Standard PC (Q35 + ICH9, 2009)
System Version: pc-q35-7.1
